THE SCENARIO:
A building, originally constructed as a warehouse in the 19th century, held historical and architectural value. It had been recognized as an industrial heritage and underwent renovations around 2000 that preserved its exterior while transforming it into residences, offices, and commercial facilities. Two decades after these renovations, the existing intercom system installed during the renovation suffered partial malfunctions and became inoperative. Consequently, the owners’ management association decided to replace the entire intercom system and sought a prompt replacement.
In response to the various demands of residents and tenants regarding intercom system – such as the desire to answer visitors remotely using smartphones, confirm visitors during absences, verify visitor identities by viewing their faces, and favoring a cost-effective and user-friendly intercom operation – the owners’ management association desired a system with a variety type of intercom room stations.
