Q. How do I program a GT system?

A. There are two methods: Handshake and Dip switch
For audio only systems or GT-1M-L, the handshake method must be used and the simplified steps are the
following (recommended programming with 2 or more people):

1) Enter all resident info either directly on the entrance station or by using the GT System Setup Tool with PC connected to the entrance station
(If using GTW-LC lift control, resident info MUST be entered using the GT System Setup Tool and through the GT-BCX first and exporting the data onto the entrance stations). This step is not needed if the entrance station does not have the GT-10K keypad.

2) Get into programming mode on the entrance station

3) Go up to a tenant station and get into communication with the entrance station either by picking up the hand set or pressing talk

4) Select the resident info to allocate the connection to the tenant station in communication either by pressing the number on the keypad and call or if no keypad, the button that you wish to allocate it to.

5) Press talk again or hand up the handset on the tenant station to end communication with entrance

6) Exit programming on the entrance station

7) Try calling the tenant using the number or button allocated to test

8) Get into programming mode on the entrance station

9) Repeat steps 3 to 5 to keep registering tenant stations

10) When registration of all tenants are complete and tested, export the settings onto the entrance stations and security guard stations if there are any. This can be done using the entrance station/security guard station or by using the GT System Setup Tool to import settings into the PC and export it into other stations
